Two children who were the subject of an Amber Alert in New Hampshire have been found safe, New Hampshire State Police said. The Amber Alert was issued after police said Alaina and Chance Wilson were abducted by their mother, Kaileigh Nichols. Police said the children were found in Limington, Maine, which is west of Portland. Police said Nichols was arrested on an active warrant and charged with two counts of felony interference with custody. “Really crazy,” Chance Wilson said Friday afternoon outside his grandmother’s home, describing what happened to him and his sister. “We were in my sister’s bedroom, and then mom knocked at the door,” Chance said. “Then, she woke me. It was just crazy.””We had to jump out the window, and then we left to go to Maine,” Alaina Wilson said. “We were going to go on my papa’s boat, but it was too far away. So then we went to my mom’s friend’s house. The children were reported missing Thursday night after disappearing from their home on Colonial Village Park in Somersworth, where they live with their grandmother. Their grandmother has custody of the children.Both children appeared to have been removed from the home through a window. Alaina Wilson’s phone was left on her bed.Police said Nichols took a vehicle from a relative in Maine and was seen in that vehicle at a school event in Somersworth during the day on Thursday. Nichols suffers from drug addiction and is known to have mental health issues, police said.Both kids said they felt it was odd that Nichols took them out the window. They both say they are doing fine.
